THIRD ENTRY BABA YAGA A SLAVIC FOLKLORE SUPERNATURAL BEING
THIS IS MY FIRST OLD AGE MAKE UP I DID WHILE STUDYING
This is Baba Yaga / based on the real myths of her i created this old age make up
Baba Yaga may help or hinder those that encounter or seek her out. She sometimes plays a maternal role, and also has associations with forest wildlife. According folktale morphology, Baba Yaga commonly appears as either a donor or villain , or may be altogether ambiguous.
TECHNIQUES :
i casted and sculpted on a plaster positive which then floated off to smaller moulds .
I have created 5 overlapping silicone prosthetics with polyurethane moulds.
hair punched the eyebrows and painted with silicone paints and silicone washes .
for the hair i painted them with white airbrush and nails were made with acrylic.
