Why Does Jurassic Park’s Effects Still Look Great After All These Years?

I recently found this video in an article on Nerd Approved (a great blog) that talks a bit about the use of CGI, and how Jurassic Park still holds up today, even though the CGI in movies made decades later often don't hold up.

Greats movie of its time... still hard to understand the realistic mechanisms till date
